Tried a pair of those. Wernt BRIGHT enough behind the smoked lens (for me). Lost a couple of the side facing LEDs too. New technology ?

Maker and Style of Tail Light assembly comes back into play ?

To each his own:sly

Joe,

Maybe, but these are brighter than the STOCK ones and fill out the entire assembly.

Also, they have these.

Crumm,

I am guessing you used regular Red 3157 Bulbs and not LED bulbs ;)

I used led's but not like the ones in your picture. They had like 10 led's right on the end but none on the side.

Looked like this:
3157red.jpg

I don't think they were shining on the reflector, just shining out the back which was not enough.

I'm Good with the Luxeon's, wife followed me the other night'n said I need a Dimmer Switch on mt Tail lights;)

I'm good for now.;tu

I went to LEDs, all 'round, on our 5r also, but have 2, switched from the Cab, marker lights to go yet. I might try some of Tower type again there.

Yeap, those are JUNK :sorry

I am very picky about my lighting, if it was not as bright or brighter than stock, I would never ran them ;)

I was looking into using those.

3157-x25 LED bulb
25-LED 12VDC replacement bulb
16mm Dual Intensity wedge base for Tail/Brake applications (SRCK/SACK compatible)- DO NOT USE IN GM DRL's
Unique design has 19 LEDs aiming out the end and 6 radially mounted LEDs aiming 90 degrees from the base for better lens fill
Select LED Color

in red of course.

Is that one ok or no?
