Were the dummy plugs OEM from a dealership?

I am not an "OEM on everything" person, but I do believe in picking and choosing the things that should be OEM only. Hadn't really given aftermarket dummy plugs much consideration - just wondering!

Oh, and compliments to you sticking with the troubleshooting. These engines sometimes are very hard to troubleshoot - even when it is in front of you hooked up to a high dollar diagnostic tool.
They aren't oem but they are pretty close, quality wise they are about the same as what was in there.

As for sticking with it I don't see any other options can't afford a shop and can't learn if I don't try. And I have seen so many threads where people have problems like mine yet they never post a resolution to the problem and I set out to when I am done post that fix so if someone else runs into the same problem the answer is out there. And it helps to have people like you bismic who post on multiple forums and have the knowledge and who are willing to share it

So newish problem, it started and ran and then hit a higher temp and started running rough, I had no throttle so I got pissed and went out and started wiggling wire nothing changed until I got to the ficm harness, I wiggled it and it ran rougher and then I moved it back and it ran and then I had throttle and then a while longer and it died.

Thinking maybe this harness is the problem? No codes though.

The harness is a little worn and not to mention I have had an issue with it before. Maybe the removing of those clips numerous times caused more issues?

And I should mention I did have injector circuit codes for numbers 1, 2, 6, and 7 I believe

If it was 1,4,6, and 7 then it would be the end plug on the FICM (towards the firewall).

IMO a FICM harness or plug issue (or the FICM itself) could be causing your problems.

Well that's kinda what I needed to hear. With that being the case it wouldn't always throw a code either right?

It would impact injector firing, so you could get injector contribution codes and even injector electrical codes. Since fueling was impacted, it could also lead to fueling related codes.

So a harness if needed is a good place to start even without more codes?

Based on what you said (harness wiggle test), it sounds like a likely problem. Trouble is, over the internet it is hard to rule out a bad connector on the harness or even issues with the FICM plugs. Removing the FICM to get a close look at the plugs/connectors would be good. Check for bent pins. Checking continuity on the harness wires would be good also, if you have the tools and room to do so.
