    Upgraded to a Class 5 Hitch

    I did the same thing a few years ago but the only Class 5 I could find was a Reese with a 2 1/2" tube. I got the adapter with it and certain trailers if I don't have enough tongue weight, the hitch will rock back and forth. Gets annoying after a few stop lights! Wish I would have waited a little...

    How is the axle shaft supposed to be removed from the knuckle? It has the seals for the vacuum assist. Are they to be destroyed and replaced? Definetly not as easy as my 97!

    No. There are 2 seals on the axle shaft itself. One on the inner shaft that seals off the tube and one on the outer shaft that seals up the spindle bearing.
