EGT and Oil temps
Because it gives you a good working area. If you have a cylinder that is not firing big deal, you will notice the change in the motor... However if you run a post turbo pyro and "guess" the wrong redline you could easly have some pictures like I posted above. The CORRECT place to mount a pyro...- CSIPSD

If you have any air in the line you will get weird readings, kink in the line same thing... I am always suspect of mechanical gauges. There is a port on the oil cooler, move your pressure gauge there and see what happens. Like I said, these trucks will NOT run with no oil pressure, the...- CSIPSD

Injector advice
What is leading you to check injectors? Honestly you need to get some scanning software on there to do a cylinder contribution test, Buzz test and a KOER test. Checking for continuity is nice, but without knowing the history of the truck its not a test all to replace an injector. Once you...- CSIPSD

Help Needed 99 7.3L Oil Pressure Problem.
Couple things... The PCM has no way of knowing what the Low pressure oil pressure is, the sender in the HPO res is a on off switch. If you have less then 5psi the light on the dash comes on and the "gauge" on the dash reads zero. You can remove that sensor all together and nothing will happen...- CSIPSD

Correct... Everything I said was based on the correct mounting location for the pyro... PRE-TURBO... Be it in the manifold or in the up pipes. Again, your watching EGT's to protect the pistons, not the turbo. The closer you are to the pistons the better off you will be.- CSIPSD

In a word yes... My tow setting is about 350-375hp... I pull this in that setting and never even look at the EGT gauge...- CSIPSD
