Have not been on here in forever... We need to do some updating on the main page, a picture or something other then the Vbul logo!

    EGT and Oil temps

Because it gives you a good working area. If you have a cylinder that is not firing big deal, you will notice the change in the motor... However if you run a post turbo pyro and "guess" the wrong redline you could easly have some pictures like I posted above. The CORRECT place to mount a pyro...

Help Needed 99 7.3L Oil Pressure Problem.

    update on diesel in coolant

Got to learn to do this stuff at home... I did it myself and was out about $500 total. Not a hard job at all, just time consuming.

Help Needed 99 7.3L Oil Pressure Problem.

If you have any air in the line you will get weird readings, kink in the line same thing... I am always suspect of mechanical gauges. There is a port on the oil cooler, move your pressure gauge there and see what happens. Like I said, these trucks will NOT run with no oil pressure, the...

    Injector advice

What is leading you to check injectors? Honestly you need to get some scanning software on there to do a cylinder contribution test, Buzz test and a KOER test. Checking for continuity is nice, but without knowing the history of the truck its not a test all to replace an injector. Once you...

Help Needed 99 7.3L Oil Pressure Problem.

Couple things... The PCM has no way of knowing what the Low pressure oil pressure is, the sender in the HPO res is a on off switch. If you have less then 5psi the light on the dash comes on and the "gauge" on the dash reads zero. You can remove that sensor all together and nothing will happen...

Hwy driving in the HOT tunes

Hell no! I'd be pissed if it smoked like that when I was pulling. Thats Ice, right out of a snow/ice storm in Cortez Colorado.

    EGT and Oil temps

Correct... Everything I said was based on the correct mounting location for the pyro... PRE-TURBO... Be it in the manifold or in the up pipes. Again, your watching EGT's to protect the pistons, not the turbo. The closer you are to the pistons the better off you will be.

Hwy driving in the HOT tunes

In a word yes... My tow setting is about 350-375hp... I pull this in that setting and never even look at the EGT gauge...

    Help

The PCM commands the EBPV to close when the air temps and oil temps are below a set point. Once they reach that point it will open. There is a safety measure built in, the EBP sensor (mounted to the front of the passenger side manifold and the sensor is up by the AC pulley) If that...

    EGT and Oil temps

Your leaving a TON of performance on the table using 900* as any kind of a marker... Max EGT from International (guys who make out motors) is 1250* sustained. You can pull all day long at 1250* and not hurt a thing. You can also go well over that line for short times and not hurt anything as...

    Symptoms of bad/inadequate LPOP

Low oil pressure, hard cold starts, stalling... You need to check the oil pressure to know much, anything from 25 to 75psi is normal.

    Gauge kits

... I hate text posts... but because its a gauge post I will go... There is nothing wrong with them, they seem to be a decent cheap gauge. I think they look to ricer and would fit in better in a honda then in a pickup... They are not that cheap once you order the senders and all the other...

    Gauge kits

All of the current Isspro EV2 and Performax are made here in Portland... The only thing using stepper motors are the older EV line up.

    Speed

You need to push the go peddle to the floor and not lift until your done. IH says we can go 1250* all day without hurting a thing, thats there stand point. You have to relise that altho AL melts at 1250*, your pistons are NOT at that temp when your EGT's are. You have boundry air around...

    Gauge kits

I prefer Isspro for several reasons. They offer more gauges, in more styles, that match the interior perfect. They listen to what we want, and continue to refine and offer more options. I am testing new stuff right now... They are made right in Portland OR... They sponser and...

    Gauge kits

Sirus radio Its not needed for sure, most of those can be looked at by the scan gauge on the steering cloumn, but how many of us trust the PCM... The main reason was for testing, I prototype test for Isspro... All the pods I have are still made... Propods makes most of them. There is...
