Question Who either has switched or been tempted with Ecoboost?

Yeah, looks NEW you can either get Ecoboost 150 with lost of *stuff* or a rather plain F250 with the 6.2L gasser. Having a 3/4 ton gasser may not be so bad. I AVERAGED @14-16 with my PSD with FX4 package. Gotta have 4WD where I live. Still need to percolate on this for a bit. I don't want...

Question Who either has switched or been tempted with Ecoboost?

So I had a 7.3 crew - I rather wish I hadn't sold it. BUT...I don't miss calculating the $$ spent on each trip to town and overall running costs. I did very much enjoy the pulling power with 8k lbs on the bumper. That being said, at the time when I had the truck I was pulling 8klbs probably...

    Looking to buy..

Bought my truck when I was towing a lot. Now I'm not. Would prolly get a gasser if I had to do it over again. That being said being able to pull 8k pounds of trailer at 70 mph in overdrive and be able to have a conversation with your mates in the truck going uphill was really nice. It's...

Passing up on Ford b/c of body removal???

Tech at the dealer told me the book charges 8 hrs for cab removal. Do the math. If folks here aren't worried about it maybe I shouldn't be, either. But it just kinda seems like the new trucks have taken a couple of steps back from the previous models. Maybe I'm wrong and they pull a HELL...

    Can't believe it

Ain't that a Donaldson filter? I remember poking around on their web site and finding the part number for the AIS Ford filter but didn't print it out.

    Question aftermarket air intakes

Check this thread out. I just ordered a Ford AIS kit. http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/7-3l-powerstroke-power-performance/24485-nice-perf-but-dont-want-lot-noise.html

Nice perf - but don't want a lot of noise

So I take it the AIS filter from Ford is really a Donaldson filter that I can get from Napa with that number?????

Thinking of trading in your diesel on gas??

I USED to tow. That was back when I was racing motorcycles. So it was a 6 hr+ drive one way once a month or so with a 7,000-8,500 lb trailer. Now....we have kids all over the place and I don't get out so much. But I'm hoping to get back out there - I still have my bikes. I do drive a lot...

    Can't believe it

Not at my joint by the house. They charge OVER MSRP.

Nice perf - but don't want a lot of noise

WOW. These guys have it for $198. My local dealer wanted $110 just for the FILTER, and for the intake kit wanted over MSRP of $295. They wanted $320. This is Crain Ford, and my reply was "I guess Mr. Crain can keep his private plane with those prices." Yikes! Your Premiere Source...

Nice perf - but don't want a lot of noise

I saw where someone had posted where to get those for like $200 or less...anyone have a good source? ITP nor Diesel Manor have them it appears.

Nice perf - but don't want a lot of noise

Guess since I have a K&N in the stock box I'll change that first then get an exhaust.

Nice perf - but don't want a lot of noise

Alllllrighty. SO I see you dropped 200 clams on the ford intake deal vs. doing the 66whatever filter. How much louder is it and do you still feel like that Ford intake is worth the $$?

Nice perf - but don't want a lot of noise

So I've been reading up and soundsl like besides guages the tymar intakes and 4" exhaust are first things to do to get a bit more HP and better running truck. I'd like to tweak my truck a bit, but I don't want it to be much louder in the cab than it already is. I had a Durango with 6.6L and...
