    Who has the highest miles?

I've got 188k on the original everything with the exception of glow plugs, a few sets of ball joints and a new rear end. She is going to get a lot fewer miles on her now. She is being retired to trailer towing and bad weather duty and replaced with a 400hp supercharged Mustang GT!!

    Am I Doing it Wrong?

It's a little smokey until the boost comes up but I rarely get any haze at highway speeds unless it's lugging down while climbing a hill.

    Am I Doing it Wrong?

I see about 180 around town and 190-200 while towing. The hottest I have set on my CTS is 209. I've been wondering about my trans for a while. It's dead stock with nearly 200k on it with the last 15k with a DP Tuner. My last dyno run shows the truck not putting power to the wheels and I'm...

    Am I Doing it Wrong?

I was hoping you would have an opinion on this, Joe. I haven't done any of those things you mentioned except getting rid of the 315's (need to update sig), pull every bit of lift off the truck and actually lower it another inch. I am now running 285's. With everything you have done to...

    Am I Doing it Wrong?

I am not new to trailer towing, far from it actually. I have a class A CDL with over 200,000 miles under my belt. My trucks towing ability, or lack thereof, has me wondering if I've been doing it wrong. With my fifth wheel, my GCW is around 16,000 pounds yet my truck seems to always struggle...

BTS vs. ATS vs. Reputable Local Builder

The Transmission Clinic in Colorado Springs. Don is the owner and after a few conversations, he said he could build me a trans that suited my needs and would be worry free. He talks a big talk and I'm quite confident he can walk the walk. If the prices are somewhat close, I may go with BTS or...

BTS vs. ATS vs. Reputable Local Builder

It sure didn't take long for my 180k mile stock transmission to disagree with the DP Tuner. Anything over 75% throttle and it starts to slip. Although it is only slipping slightly right now, I know things are only going to get worse. I've talked to a very reputable local transmission...

What can be done about "warped" rotors?

Thanks guys! I posted this on a few forums and have had numerous responses for the frozen rotors. I've looked at them in the past and kinda viewed them as a luxury. They are rapidly moving toward the "standard equipment" list though. I should have mentioned in my original post that I do tow...

What can be done about "warped" rotors?

I don't think I have put a single mile on my truck without the brakes surging during a stop. I gone through multiple sets of rotors and pads yet within a few days, they are "warped" again. FYI-I'm putting "warped" in quotations because I don't want to have a major discussion on the actual...

    Denver Smog test ????

Does Denver still do emissions on gas engines? A few miles south in El Paso County, they are only doing emissions on diesel engines. As far as the EGR goes, is it a dummy unit or a plate? If they look for one and don't see it, you are going to fail the test. When I have my emissions test...

    First Dyno Run!

Had to do an emissions test this morning and had the guys do a second run with my DP Tuner in the 80hp economy setting. Do these numbers look right? Stock - 215 hp 497 lb-ft of torque 80 Econ - 254 hp 665 lb-ft of torque The torque numbers seem right for an 80 hp tune but I guess I...

    In dash dvd/nav systems

I looked at quite a few before settling on the Pioneer P4300. I'm really happy with it so far. One thing that I do hate about it though is that it's a multi-step process to change the brightness of the screen. I wish it had a day/night switch.

    Trailer Wiring for Towing Doubles

Well something isn't working. I tapped into the gooseneck wiring and now I don't have brake lights or turn signals on either trailer. I do have running lights though. Everything truck side is working just fine. I figure it's a popped fuse or relay. Where should I start looking?

    Trailer Wiring for Towing Doubles

I was thinking that they might be close to the same voltage. When I have my fifth wheel hooked up, I really have to turn the controller up. When my gooseneck is hooked up, I have to turn the controller way down. I guess I'll cross that bridge when we get there.

    Trailer Wiring for Towing Doubles

I just had a receiver installed onto my gooseneck so that I could tow my 8' utility trailer behind it. I figured I could cut down on the number of trips I was making to job sites. Anyway, I need to run either a 4-flat or 6-round plug to the back of the gooseneck. While I was pondering things...
