hey 1956ford just wanted to remind ya downshifting from overdrive under load with that "little" fiver behind you could cause problems if your tranny ain't tight. we manualy downshift to 3rd when the grade gets a little steep, then mash that pedel. my stock tourqe converter never liked full load...

hey ripper, my 05 550 started running like you discribed. had you been noticing some loss of power, or was it quick? mine stumbles on accel, and under load. sound like yours? how long did ford have it? thanks .
after ya change that alternator ya might also check, that little plug in the back of the is it making good contact? also isnt that little orange lite blue wire notorious for separating, around the drivers valve cover in the loom? by the way rocks also work real good like on starters.
ok heres the deal 6k is a walk in the park, properly set up. do ya have a load distrubuting hitch? it makes a big deal if ya got to much tounge weight. soft tires? i got my baby with 305's but load range d should of been range e. they were like sponges. just a start
guzzle's lockup mod looks striaght foward, but will the converter hold in 3rd gear with 11k intow with 3/4 to full throtle? oh yeah 6 or 7 % grade over afew miles up hill? hope this makes sense. thanks for any help.
