ok i bought my truck with 114k miles on it and was told as part of the check that fluids were changed if needed now i don't know what the requirements are for the tranny but when i gelled up the other day :rant(see other thread for that discussion) i was told that my x-fer cased needs fluid...
it was at the TA off of interstate 80 and 29 in council bluffs ia. but i dont think that was the only place because its is blended at the distribution point and they service alot of stations
had the small bottle of that put it in filter bowl and poured the rest in the tank didnt really help it was still gelled by the time i got to the dealership 3.5 hours later. even put in a new fuel filter. but at least i was able to restart and keep it running at idle so i didnt freeze couldnt go...

yea mine did the same thing and it was the injector orings i haad 4 injectors with bad rings and burned 8qts before i new about it cause it starved the hpop and would dry up and starv the injectors. I replaced mine about 5k ago and i havent burned any oil, before they went bad i would burn about...
