So, Should the plastic piece that looks kinda like the hub of this thing be removed also? It looks like it belongs inside the cap, but I did no try to remove it. Maybe it would be easier to determine if someone could describe the parts inside the cap (If there should be any at all.) A...- VinceJE

Nah... Filter looked fine. This was on top of the filter. You can't really tell from the pic, but the center hole is rough and matches the little center thingy in the top of the cap. Saving money is definately important. I'm itching to see what a programmer like the edge juice module can do for me. That's another better part of a grand... and then there's the wheels, tires, bed liner, bull bars, lights, audio, exhaust.... you know... all the new priorities in life. Someday...- VinceJE

Yea... I'm gonna talk to them again to get the details on the quote. They did offer some cheaper options. This one was more than add-on springs. This was a leveling kit (I think from Pro Comp) that includes full replacement springs, new track bar & track bar bracket, and MX-6 adjustable shocks...- VinceJE

I talked with my local 4WheelParts shop today. They quoted me $930 drive-out for the leveling kit. Including springs, 4 upgraded shocks, and all hardware installed. Sound reasonable?- VinceJE

Rake's not for me
My rig has a bit more rake than I like. Most of the other trucks I see stand nice and level, so I'm wondering why mine doesn't. I'm thinking of adding about a 2" body lift on the front. Looking for some comments here on the idea and what I might be looking at on the cost.- VinceJE

The funny thing is... I bought this big guy used from a Toyota dealer. They didn't seem to know anything about the truck. That's probably why I was able to make a good deal on such a super clean rig.
