    fuel sender and gauge operation?

I think so too, I wonder if it got banged around a little in shipping to Tacoma Speedometer. Don't know, I'll investigate sometime, for now I just finished building my injectors, all I can say is WOW and that is only a superchips tuner and 160cc's, I can't imagine trucks like TUBZZ.:burnit :burnit

    fuel sender and gauge operation?

Just wondering how the fuel gauge circuit worked. Ever since I sent my cluster off to have the psom reset my fuel gauge is goofy. Fill it up and it reads empty by 160 miles, but doesn't try to run out of fuel till about 330 miles. It is inaccurate to say the least. Does roughly the same...

    96 F350 Died on highway

BTT, Ya get the IDM yet? I'm anxious to see what comes up on this one. If that doesn't get it I would get a service manual CD off ebay and start tracing wires and signals.

    Got my DIY kit today

We will see, I've had many many hydraulic parts apart, and some pencil type injectors, throw them together, add some electric actuation, and you have a power stroke injector. I'm sure that Bean and Swamp probably port the fill holes and stuff a little, but for the money I can survive without...

Sorry, didn't specify, DIY injectors stage 1 kit. Can't afford the mods right now to go any bigger than 160.

    New Gauges... What ones?

I too give DiProcal high marks, haven't seen any isspro gauges on trucks in the flesh, so I can't comment on them, but I would put my gauges right up against autometers.

They are pulse width modulated, so I doubt an analog meter is quick enough to pick it up. Will have to be a DVOM with the right features for the application I think.

    trailer brakes wiring????

If you plan on keeping the truck and pulling goosenecks or fifth wheels, I would put the 7way in the bed too, when I worked at the Deere dealership we sold trailers, anything over 4 wheeler trailer was going to 7 way as an industry standard.

Detergent additive that wont score my p's and b's?

I did run John Deere torq guard since I got it at cost, I will now be switching to DELO, I have seen oil analysis that shows it is a dirty oil and can coke a little, I know there could be some coking so I would like to clean it. I think the best possible thing to use would be to use one of...

Detergent additive that wont score my p's and b's?

I am getting ready to do diy injectors and was wondering if there is any kind of detergent additive that really works and will not score my p's and b's up? I would love to pull them suckers out and see em be shiny clean every where that oil touches, but I will not put anything in there if...

    96 F350 Died on highway

Doesn't neccessarily mean trouble. When the pins burn they do start to leak, but when I switched mine, my front connector my old valve cover gasket had oil in it, but it didn't have a problem electrically, was just leaking.

Goof Ya youre right is is DC doh. Just don't stand in a puddle of water and grab the wire, you will be fine, I have checked mine before when I had a miss, ended up being a burnt UVC harness from a glowplug gone bad.

Buzz test checks that the solenoids are working and the computer is trying to fire them. If one sounds different, it could either have goofed up poppet clearance or a weak solenoid, but I think they are usually good or not. Check AC voltage at the valve cover connectors and make sure they are...

    EBP Sensor, tube cleaning

No, I do have a buddy that I used to work with at the local Deere dealer that did restore tractors in his spare time, but now he has built a new shop and just repairs tractors, hi lifts, etc instead, its more profitable. If you figure time to really restore a tractor right you only make about...

    EBP Sensor, tube cleaning

I see, when I worked for the local Deere dealer I took some Protech classes up there. I'm about 3.5 hours away, down 19 and east on 8 a ways or about 60 miles south of St louis on 67.

    EBP Sensor, tube cleaning

Clean the sensor out with small screwdriver/wire brush, carb cleaner, as for the tube check at the stealership, last time I checked they were only like 15 bucks I think, for that money attempting to clean the stinkin thing doesn't even make sense. By the way were ya from? I'm a Missourian too....

    Shifter Knob w/ Switch

Exactly my sentiments? They will be for air splitters for the transmissions, or some of the old chevy 2 tons and such had vacuum split rearends in them too. I was just wondering though why do you need the exhaust brake when shifting??? If you are on the clutch you aren't gonna get any...

    96 F350 Died on highway

After all this cranking is it possible you starved out the hpop resevoir? Sounds like you need to check your hpop pressure. If you have laptop software it should give you an ICP reading you can convert to psi. If you can make 500 psi hpop it will start if you are getting fuel and voltage to...
