I got everything installed, but not wired up yet.
It turned out pretty nice.

This is the hole that was left after I removed the 7 pin receiver.
I removed it last year when I decided to take out the 5th wheel out of my bed.
(I would have never put it there, but that is where it was installed when I was setting my truck up to pull a trailer.)

I bought a cheap 7 pin receiver and cut the cover away from the wiring harness. (basicall just needed the cover for cosmetic reasons)

Here is the cover after the surgery.

Here is the new plate I fab'd up to hold the 12v plug-in and to cover the big hole.

A little paint work (med. wedgewood blue in a spray can ;tu)

The final 3 pics show the final results.

I do have an extra 40amp breaker that I could put on the pass. side battery.
That is where I have the 1 gauge leads hooked up.

As for the 12v plug-in, I was gonna tape into the factory 7 pin receiver and put a fuse in line. How big just for that?

A 40 amp would work.. on the 01 gauge, but for the "Bama Power Point" ?.. it All depends on what you plan to power up from it :dunno

Maybe you could Step Down, to 10 gauge, from the 01 gauge to power the new 12v plug-in ? That would give you a good range of accessory possiblilities.. or am I confused ?
