no more than 5 to 6 times a year. but those moves will be around the lakes in Wyoming, missouri, texas and florida. the last one was 27ft 10500lbs 8.6 beam and we towed it like a camper for every family trip. thats the idea for this one.

Jus' One more opinion ?

At those frequencies, but mainly the distances (?).. over the terrains involved.. yul need at least a 450, or 550.. for the sake of Safety.. for You & Yours.

@ 12ft high, 12ft wide (permitted load) and 44ft long.. with anything less, the Port of Entry, The various State DOT Safety Inspectors might be VERY (overly) interested too ??? Even with a 450 or 550 ?

(It's been my exsperience, Permitted Loads can cause those DOT guys to git extra Picky at times ?)

I have to ask, because I don't know, but with a (12ft high, 12ft wide (permitted load) and 44ft long) will your truck have to have DOT numbers on it?

I think the cost of oversize permits may eat you up over time. You'll have to buy one for each state your travailing in and only run in the day. You'll need to look at also if your going to need a escort truck too. Florida and some other states is anal about that. The boat sound like it's short enough but still need to check it out. In the long run it could be cheaper to pay someone to move it for you. I see guys down here moving these boats everyday and most run F350 DRW with airbags and some with escort trucks. I would sagest talking with Bama. He's pop on here and there may have some more insite into this. I have been out of this for a time but all I did was run oversize loads.
