It has no technical merit what-so-ever, the only sliver of merit it has is the fact that the OP's truck seems to have a problem that he isnt willing to fix.

Specifically why is he getting 10 mpg on the same pump fuel the rest of us are getting bare bones minimum 15 and some of us are regularly achieving 18+ on. Rather than address his problems he is trying to sidestep the law.
