He said he took them off and had them checked out while he was reaplacing the gaskets. I think he told me there was severe warping. The only good news is that I shopped around and found a set for a little over $300

As for them tryin' to screw me, I really doubt it with this shop. They've done about everything possible to work with me throughout this ordeal. But I suppose anything's possible.

agreed...BUT the service writers are the BEGINNING of the
problem....far more dealerships SOP is to treat owners
like theyre idiots (rather than help educate 'em).

far too many service writers would rather lie and use double
talk than try to educate themselves.

its all about the Average Ticket Price !

Lets try and keep the discussion on it's technical track to assist Forumpete with his engine's repair,if discussion about what the dealers charge is necessary well lets take it on down to the Lounge but lets keep personal attacks on fellow members and dealer names out of them.

I know the feeling. I had the same problem when I bought mine back in September. I think it's all takin care of now. (knock on wood) Just hang in there and it'll be all good soon.
