Brakes @ 100K
Ball joints @ 100 K
Tires @ 80K

Coolant filter @ 60K
Air filter - original :stir
Bed plate leak repair @ 95K
Some running issues @ 95K (corrected by new flash & EBP sensor)
Nothing EGR related ever!
Original injectors


Drive It hard daily & tow daily

got the truck april 06. 90k miles I run 5w40 rotella synthetic and change every 10k miles fuel filters about the same.

ball joints,
interior fuse pannel replaced(not under warranty)
HPOP replaced
Just had turbo rebuilt
AC/heater blower motor replaced.

we have another 06 that was recieved the same day as mine with 125k miles and only thing wrong has been guage cluster has been replaced under warranty.

For the guys that replaced the FICM where did you get it and what did it cost, did you have the dealer do it, or was it a DIY? How did you know you needed a new FICM?

For the guys that had their PCM flashed to newer updates, did you have the dealer do it, and what was the cost?

I printed a Service Bulletin list last night, and 75% of the issues I am encountering were listed on the list.

Starting to wonder if I got a bad tank that has a clogged line from delamination. Would I find particles in the HFCM filter if was the case? Any ideas?:dizzy

The FICM was was replaced because there were inactive codes for it, also cyl 3 had a code (forget what it was) but was also related to FICM being bad. The dealer replaced it, total cost was $1000 , with my extended warranty I had to pay $200.

I'd like to edit my post due to recent problems
Last thursday, symptoms of another injector gone bad, I dropped it off and sure enough its injector #3, so far 2,4,6, and 7 have been changed within a month and now #3.
Also my fuel injection pump on the frame rail and fuel pressure regulator are being replaced.

Not very happy I might add.

92k on my 06 went trough an abs sensor, 1 rebuilt turbo, 2 egr coolers, 2 high pressure oil pumps, 1 oil cooler, 2 egrs, 1 transmission module, a set of head gaskets, 1 front ford logo, and 1 drivers side mirror turn signal/ running light.

Besides all the problems I have had with this truck its still my favorite.

I've got 116k on mine with the mods listed below and have really had much to complain about i"ve cleaned the egr valve and replaced it once, ficm, alternator, one weak injector and all but the ficm was under warranty so not bad just keep runnin the tunes and using the diesel services additive and filters changed...loved my 7.3 and still do replaced cps twice so not sure which i like the best

Bought mine May '08 with 71,400 miles.

Just flipped 90,000 miles on mine this weekend.

You can see from my sig what has happened, since it was new.

I've had it in the shop more times than I'd care to remember.

I do love the King Ranch interior, though.

5.9 Cummins swap will come in the future.
