clintusaf,
I don't have 235's on, but I have 35x12.5x16.5 with only a 2" lift on the front and the bumper shimmed 1".

Racinghcr,
There nothing you can do down here it's all ultra low Sulfur, unless you run a bio-fuel blend.

So here my situation. i switched from my superchip to DP tuner and now i get worse fuel mileage than before. im running 4 inch MBRP tb and tymar filter setup. i have some cheapo Milestar 285/75/16's that came on it when i bought it. they look like a highway tire. i periodically check my tire pressure. they are rated for 65psi and i keep them at 60. i try to keep it under 2000 rpms when accelerating, but of course it dont always work out that way. i average about 14-15 right now. im open to all suggestions to improve my fuel mileage without breaking the bank.

best advise I can give you...
a different set of tires..
and I think someone already suggested 235/85R16's
oil hit a 14month high yesterday, so it ain't gonna be gettin any better anytime soon (imagine oil prices spiking the month GM launches their plug-in electric car :sly)

Something I'm stump on is the mileage I'm getting on my truck. I have run the numbers and the lap top said the samething. At 2k in rpm's I'm getting 16 mpg per gal. but if I run the rpm's up to 2200 I'm getting 19 mpg running a 3.73 gear with 35's. I figer that 2200rpm is the sweet spot in the motor the only thing is I'm running almost 80 mph.

I don't tend to believe it. I get 20.9 (best) at 2000 rpm and less in higher rpms. I have 3.73 gears also. Hand calculated. My tires are smaller, stock.

That what I keep thinking but.........I dont know. I have another big trip coming up in three months so I'll try it again. I found a new tool in my software that track fuel usage and mileage so we will see.

Bosch has shows that you MIGHT lose UP TO 10% of your injector life. Hardly worth it to carry lubricant and measure it, etc, etc. This is between the lubricity they want vs what we can get.

really? do you happen to have a link to that info?

well the 6.0 is a different animal...with a 7.3 like you've got...your optimum mileage will be achieved below 2k rpms.

seems like the 6.0 puts out its optimum power at slightly above 2k rpms.

Bill over at power stroke help said that the sweet spot is up around 21 to 2300 rpm's.
