I was testing the ten freshly reloaded rounds and one of em jammed the xd
these were new bullets of 125 grn round nose with "low" powder charge
#7 fired but caused a jam and i can not get the slide back more than 3/8" inch
it will go to battery but not open up enough to eject.
i released the ejector arm to roll the case and made sure it wasn't stuck
any body feel lucky :(

Not sure how an XD comes apart but can you remove the slide? I know most auto pistols you have to pull the slide back at least a little bit to remove the slide.
You didn't have a "pop but no bang" did you? its hard to tell but it looks like I can see the head of the bullet in the first picture toward the end of the barrel but the brass in the chamber in the other pics.

bullet is gone, not sure how far it went but i did see dirt move at the burm which is 100 yards away,
Kingkevindavid the slide is STUCK, it wont let you pull it back to gain access to the disasembly lever. it appeared to be catching on the grip safety, so i removed it :sly, but it didnt help,
i have tried gentle to moderate taps with a rubber mallet and dowel,
i ran a nylon brush through the barrel to get the gunk out,
and eyeballed it for bulging
geuss its a trip to the gunsmithnow, before i have a bag full of small parts
i can also rotate the empty casing in the barrel so i now know its not stuckaged
tbar it was fully cleaned the night before, no grit or foreign stuff just light oil,
thanks guys

pb- didja check XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source! for JSP?

was it recently apart? guide rod in right? spring too? they can be finicky.

can you see if the block is slightly above the feed ramp?

KKD - you have to pull the slide all the way back, lock it, rotate the slide catch pin 90, release the slide, pull the trigger and like scratch your left nut while you whistle row row row your boat. darned plastic guns.

You know, boatr I see something between the slide and the frame in the first picture above. Looks like Sand??? Or something like it.

them little bits are residue from the powder, i don't why this powder does it....but next 8lb jug of powder is not going to be "accurate".
HOWEVER, the factory rounds leave a similar but smaller amount f gritty things

dp thanks for the link i will go check em out, i cleaned it the day before just like normal, all clean i am 99% it went back together right. I fired 6 shots not rapid but in a quick like manner, then bing bam she got stuck, i also cycled each reload through the mag and chambers prior to the range to check for issues of feeding like i had on the 45 colt

i removed the back pin and dropped out the grip lock arm to see if the internal was jammed, guess what??? it was smooth as silk and no burrs :dunno
so i emailed Springfield custom shop and hopefully get a po# and send her back for some TLC
really bumms me out, I absolutely enjoy range time with this firearm
