just lost my torque converter @ 45k

my TC lasted 45k or two years, iv been told that they possibley use the same tc as a gasser being the trans are sometimes the same and its a cheaper route bandade fix, What are your recomendations for where to get another torque converter, one for diesels and can handel HD work?
Should i get a programmer now as well to adjust the shift points also being with a lifted truck, my speedo is off but i have an idea buy how much.
What about a deeper trans pan , more fuild better for cooling, i dont want it to overheat later , its gotta last another 200k ( i can hope for right)

Most transmission shops carry a billet tc for $6-800. The stock tc is underated for the demands of the 7.3. I just got my gauges up and my trans temp gauge has only hit 130* in 45* weather. Is that what everyone else is getting? I just had my trans rebuilt with shift kit and billet tc for $2400. I used Certified Transmission shop in central louisiana. I like the way it shifts now, heck of a lot smoother than with just my TS chip on it. Sometimes my truck would shift so hard it would bark 3rd gear. I'd imagine that would be the burnt spots on the clutch they showed me. I am curious though...I have seen a Jet module that has like 4-6 different shift settings. Anybody know if they are worth it with my set-up?

well today a buddy of mine i thought was out of town came by and confirmed that the torque converter it going out( hes a diesel-trans specialist) , i was told to drop pan and check for metal " fingers crossed" if no metal we are going to r&r the Tc, worse case scenario tear down the trans and do it right, no labor charge:hail
so ya gonna order a ATS Diesel Performance Five Star Viskus Clutch Torque Converter 5yr-500,000 warranty. on Monday $1,450.00

my neighbors are going to start thinking i run a repair shop out of my house:lmao

4.10's will work good, I think 4.55 is a little much. Mileage would go down big time. Has your trans. had the shift points change to match the tires size from stock tires to the 35"? If not that one way to smoke the trans and TC.

Ok so here's the part list, am I missing anything needed to prolong transmission life?
Ats torque converter.
3+ quart deep sump trans pan.
Hypertech max energy- to reprogram speedo and trans for 35's.
Trans temp gauge.

I think about the only other thing is a trans cooler upgrade. My question to you or maybe someone else is if there is a big bennefit of the ATS tc over the billet tc?
