Thats one bad truck at the farm Stephen I did the same thing bout a year ago,took out a blue FX4,went to pick up the Mrs from her office(she was expecting the Excursion) and the look on her face was priceless!! She said no! no! you didn't do it I told her I'm on a test drive with the kids and said you drive back which she anxiously did,she was all grins going back to the dealer

My son thought the step-tailgate was the coolest part of the whole truck.


There is one more thing I would love to have off the 2008 trucks.

That big ole new center console that you can order instead of the fold up seat.

It has tons of space inside and 2 extra cup holders for the kiddies in the back, plus a power point hook-up.

That could be the next interior MOD I do. Several of them on ebay to choose from.

yeah could also be due in part to some ill begotten reputation of the
early 6.0's...coupled w/ STICKER shock...folks at this time of year
are thinking about xmas gifts, come january theyll be trying to figure
out how to pay the xmas credit card bills i suspect.

man more power to ya...theyre nice trucks and they
seem to have handled the <market> LAUNCH in near perfect
manner.

the problems seem few and far between...id love to have one
but i dont want a payment...all ours are free and clear now and
were lovin' it.

the thing that scares me the most 'bout 'em is the MPG.

its impossible for me to justify...weve got more truck than we
really need now....and if i get a company car (and all the fuel i
can burn) itll be tough not to sell my 2004 !

the tailgate assembly is completely diff.

one assembly for the step, one for the non-step.

OH, and about 600.00 diff.

The tailgate with the step is $600.00?? I'm looking at one w/out the step so I didn't see that option. I want a plain 8" bed so I can get a spray in liner. 600.00 seems a little steep.
