ordered a 08 fin'd diff cover from dieselmanor....probably not
the cheapest but it eliminates me having to find the proper
length bolts.

site mis-quoted the shipping...David @ Diesel Manor called me
personally to tell me and ask what i wanted to do (they also
dont charge my credit card it the order ships !)

David shared w/ me that if i went w/ the cheaper GROUND
shipping id have it by friday ! nice...calls me to check AND saves
me money at the same time !

holds the same amount of fluid as the NON-fin'd fiberglass version.
but its not NEARLY as expensive as the magtec's ($200+).

the cover alone can be had for 34 bucks (cheapest ive found) but
then youll need some new (longer) bolts & washers.

Id love it if this thing fit the front cover too, but it apparently doesnt.

david and his crew are stand up guys! i would buy from them again any day.

only problem is, no matter how much we have chided him, they are not sponsors yet!

well the TYPICAL sponsors havent put the package together...w/
what i consider to be aggressive pricing.

i didnt wanna deal w/ chasing bolts down but at the same time when
you can get the cover for 34 bucks i dont see myself spending a bunch
more for the hardware either...

havent decided on the fluid yet...im hearing most are goin' synth.
royal purple <which apparently already contains a friction modifier.

if i can find the right weight mobil 1 (synth) ill probably go w/ that....

other wise i may just say the heck w/ it and go w/ the ford OE synth.

my cover is scheduled for arrival tomorrow.

anyone dump'd the front dif. lube ? what did you replace it w/ ?
id like to put some synth. in it too while ive got the tools out.

bush, do you know if they offer one like that with a temp sender?

i know the Maghytec does, just wondering if the ones ya'll are getting can do the same.

and if it doesnt, could you drill, tap and insert a temp sending unit in this one?

I just changed the oil in my truck and added a Maghytec cover and the synth.
Royal Purple which already contains a friction modifier. So far doing good.
Cost all most $100.00 just for the Royal Purple.
