Just my $.02 but drive one for a while first. They have lot of power without any mods. I have done a couple of things to mine: 1. blue spring upgrade, 2. 4" turboback exhaust with no cat or muffler and it has about all the power I need. I do not tow a 5th wheel or camper but I haul a lot of hay and farm equipment and so far I have never hooked up to anything that would have required more power than the truck has stock. I think one of the keys to happiness with these trucks is good maintenance. I run full synthetic oil in mine, flush the coolant regularly, and change the fuel filters regularly. I bought mine used and had to do a little "catch up" from the previous owner but the only big items I have had to repair was replacing the alternator and just after the first of the year had to replace the EGR valve. The truck runs great and I love to drive it!
