Subs in a crew cab OBS

looks nice...im wondering if the box was sized properly for volume.
Don, I wont kid you, it was tight. Per JL's site the subs needed just a hair over 1 cu ft and I was right at 1 cu ft.

IIRC the bottom of the box was about 7" deep and it tapered up to the top that was about 3.5" deep. The hieght of the box was from the floor pan behind the seat to where the carpet tucked into the moulding at the rear window, for those of you with an OBS in the driveway you can go measure that height. Width off the top of my head was about 14 or 15 inches. Please remember, I am recalling all these measurements from rusty memory.

just wonderin' '95...when you build
a CUSTOM box you have a better
chance of setting the size.

those ebay boxes are what they are,
and each speaker has a different
requirement.

pioneer 3 and 4way factory size replacements rated for 220 watts

man what MODEL pioneers...best i can find that would FIT the factory hole
are only rated 2-35w rms & 180w PEAK....even pioneers BEST (6.5" round)
speakers are only rated for 50w rms (200w peak)...and those are
2-way separates...big bucks mutha's at 550 dollars a PAIR :dizzy

75w RMS in each door is pretty STOUT...huh...can you speak up, i
cant quite hear ya ! :lmao

i can only imagine what 200w would be like, be enough to make your
ears bleed
