where do you get your rig inspected that will pass that? 35% is the legal limit you can put on the front for a total of a 20% tint. I had 13% on my truck and had to rip it off cause i couldnt find a place that would pass it.

I've never even had them check my tint, during the annual inspection.

Really??? I wonder if its just a houston thing or if its a shop by shop deal. Anywhere I've gone, they always check the tint, even if it has the legal sticker on it. It really ticks me off cause 35% on the front windows does absolutely nothing!!! Id like to have about 13 to keep the heat out.

same outta the way place ive been getting it and my wifes car inspected,
and NO i wont tell you over email or the internet.

there are plenty of folks running 'round here w/ tint much darker than
mine...which is part of the reason i did it...

cops dont seem to mess w/ 'cha for the tint....do something else wrong
and expect the tint to be the excuse they needed to pull you over.

hey man thats i nice lookin rig. great job on the tint ..i tried do do it myself one time and the end results were not good. like BP said most of the cops dont mind it until you do something else and then they find every lil thing to nail you on. i had i think 7 % comin thru on their gauge and i got a ticket but never took it off. got off pretty easy from the hi-po i was on my way back to college in stephenville and had out of date inspection and a cooler of "beverages" a week before my 21st bday and all they gave me was the tint ticket.

Fair enough, I wont prod you for it. I was just looking for clarification that there are indeed places out there that will let things like that slide. I think I've had trouble find places in Houston (specifically Sugar Land) that will let it slide because they have had quite a few visits from the state boys adn some have gotten in trouble and had to pay considerable penalties.

What is this stuff about an annual inspection?
No such thing here. We do have an bi-annual smog check, but no other inspections.

It's a state thing, annual safety inspection required on ALL vehicles.

50% tint is legal here and they enforce it too. At least we don't have inspections.
