I'm sure this is going to be a stupid question to the experienced guys. But here it goes. 08 250 Super Duty 6.0L Diesel. Running down road, gets to 100 MPH and it is like a govener kicks in. Is that it for this truck. I feel like I am in a rental truck from the uhaul place. Thats how it feels. Is this standard on diesel setup? 1st diesel owned. Any input?

my 2006 "6.0" stops at 120 or looses power :sly at least thats what happened on the rollers :D

now the 2008 has a "6.4" so maybe they governed it to 100
either way 100 or 120 in a superduty is borderline :dizzy

Mine is limited to 100, It is my understanding that all Ford trucks are limited from the factory, but you can remove the speed limiter with some programmers, if you so choose.

My ´00 7,3 does the same. 100 MPH is max. But I think that is pretty good for a vehicle this size. It isn't built for speed. But the interesting thing is, how fast do you go from zero to 100 MHP? I haven't measured it, but I'll bet its under 20 seconds.

You are correct it is a 6.4L. It is fairly quick up to 100, but i just was surprised
at the way it just top out. I was just needing a little more speed at that time, and just didn't realize it was goverend on the top end that way.

So that's just the way they are................Great
