The 7.3 IDI was diesel, before diesel was cool, and thats all that matters!

The IDI is cool. Just slow. Great if you want to drive mellow.

While the 6.0 eventually got over the issues that plaqued it early on and matured into a decent motor, I have to say the 7.3 Powerstroke still gets my vote.
1. It had the longest production run of any of the choices.
2. It gets decent mileage, unlike certain motors choked by emissions crap.
3. If maintained well, it's about a reliable of a motor as they get.
4. You don't have to remove the cab from the frame for anything more than changing the air filter or checking the oil.

i voted for a 6.0 <because i own & maintain one>...i can pretty much
bet my pay check which one you voted for too.
wanna BET that the majority of owners have done the SAME ?
im gonna go out on a limb here and GUESS that the majority of
folks voted for what they own...or against what they own not
because theyve owned more than one engine config but probably
cause they got poor problem resolution from their DEALER.
by the present voting "results" it would give someone unfamilar
w/ FORD Diesels the impression that the 6.4 is JUNK...
unless the POLL were restrict to folks that have owned ALL
the engine configurations this poll is barely worth the disks space
it takes up.
