if you want good sound from any speaker setup, you shouldnt use the factory radio unless you get a jl audio clean sweep or rockford fosgate device. the difference between stock and a good aftermarket radio (pioneer,kenwood,etc) is like night and day with more options. you will get more frequency range highter s/n and overall better performance from you system

I have two JL 10WOs behind the seat in my '06 Crew Cab. You will most likely have to trim the carpet, but the JL box fits perfectly and it was pretty cheap as well! For me, the JL components in the doors and the cab corners sound great with the factory head unit. I didn't want to lose the steering wheel controls. I just tapped a RCA signal and run it to the sub amp and the components amp under the seat in the rear. Now all I have to do is cut out the access points in the fold out tray so I can reinstall it!
