High Idle Switch

hey guys, just wondering if anybody has done this mod to a 2006 f350 5.4 gas. the only wire I have is the blue/ white, but that just seems to be for the diesels. Can someone help . thanks, mike

The service truck @ work is F350 5.4L gas and it revs up with a switch in the floor(aftermarket) on a panel, and the the park brake applied. I'm not sure what the switch hooks to, I'll try to figure it out.

well i finally got some pics of the switch.....it turns out i blew a fuse...long story short...i got it replaced and the swith is in and works great!!!

Strokerpower, it looks real good and for sure cheaper than the upfitter switchers.

I see that you are from MO. I was hoping that you could make the Rally
Next weekend at Caddo Mills, TX. We all ways have a good time there.
There are a bunch of good fokes on here.

The thing I find with using the BCP just for idleing up is that it will rev up way higher than 1200 on start up. I have a volt meter wired in my gauges, and there's sure not much more than 12 V there for the first minute or so after start up. If you run BCP right away, the idle tends to get up to 1400+ RPMs pretty quickly. I use the PTO switch, and it keeps it at 1200. But is the torque converter locking up counter productive when you are trying to let the truck warm up?

I use the BCP all the time, works wonders trying to boost dead batteries, especially on powerstrokes, tractors, and irrigation motors.

If i was close you could count me in....unfortunately im not...I've played some baseball in TX......TCU....San Antonio...Round Rock....College Station...Houston....thats about the extent of it....but i ride in vans or buses with the rest of the team...no time for the stroke:( i appriciate the offer though:thanks

I have a 6.0 2006 lariat and it is a all orange wire. Same location but just orange. There was actually a factory tag that is wrapped around this small bundle of dead end wires and it says it right on there O-PTO a bunch of other ones like a ground a rpm and someothers. Total of 11 wires/ options. This is a must upgrade and an easy one at that. Thanks guys.
