I shared an 87 escort exp with a buddy. But my first car was an 84 gmc 3/4 ton shorty van with a carpeted interior 4 captins chairs and a walkman wired up to a 300watt amp an kicker box for tunes. That thing broke down once a week sold it after three months and bought a 79 bronco and that thing was a story in it self.

I'm a little older than some of you children, but I remember that first car with very fond thoughts. I was a country boy in East Texas and bought that first one a 1940 Ford Coupe from a "Tote The Note" car lot in Titus County. It cost me $185.00 dollars $25.00 down and $6.00 a week. For a 13 year old working in the local slaughter house it was a heep of money. To relive that memory though all I have to do is look in the garage, I still have that same old Ford today, don't have a clue how I managed to keep it all those years but somehow I did.

That picture was actually taken yesterday so the old girl is in pretty good shape. I try and drive it two or three times a week. it didn't look nearly that good when I bought it from that lot in 1960 though.

Thyanks to both of you for the welcome.

Hey Dave;

You and Hombre make me feel old, so I just got off the phone with a friend of mine that is 88 years old,,, Now I feel young again. I am not saying my age, but I am older than Rex-a-ford who is older than both of you.
Geeesh... now I feel old again...I have to call my older friend back...:roflmao

Hey Maxtor, I know you are older than I am; but I am still older than most of the folks around here. But not old enough to need any hips or knees. My time will come I am sure. I have not reached 60 yet.

Hombre, nice looking car and I am glad to see you drive it!!

Dave :)
