I don't if I am that good now. :lmao Besides a 3208, are there any other "smaller" V8 eninges I should look at? I do not want something that is going to require every one in the truck to wear hearing protection.

Yeah, have you considered the 6.9/7.3L IDI from IH yet?

I originally planned on using a 7.3 out of a school bus. And I have a 6.9 I plan to put in a 65 F250. But considering the size and weight of the finished build, I want something bigger with a lot more power. :drive

Define "a lot more power". Tough bill to fill in a mechanically injected V-8 that will fit under the hood of a pickup. Have you thought of the 12V cummins or is an inline out of the question?

The blower is in need of MAJOR case work. It is all corroded in the surfaces that the seals run on. Stay away from this unless you need a core.

Let me say up front that I am some what new to the diesel realm. All the big trucks I have built in the past had big block power plants. Now, that being said; This truck is being built with “big” truck components. Everything is going to be bigger, heavier, and stronger than any components I have used before. So, my way of thinking tells me I need something larger than the average diesel power plant. That is why I am looking at big truck engines.

Plus I want to ability to say “hey look what I got”
