Oh yes and they are fun to shoot. You just hide in the bushes next to a beaver dam on the river and when they jump the dam you shoot them.

Count me in for next years salmon hunt then!
You are in. Be sure to bring some band-aids and tweezers as we try and patch them up a little after removing the shot before we release them. They have traveled 1200 miles up river to spawn so they are not the best to eat. We go to Valdez where they are much fresher to fill the freezer.

We got 16 Mallards and three Salmon over the weekend. Temps hung in around 20º with only minor snow. Great time :D

I am so jealous Crumm, not of the hunting and fishing, ( I am not much of an out doorsman, never been
hunting a day in my life, and have only gone fishing a handfull of times)
but of the scenery. I want to go to Alaska so bad before
I kick the bucket one day.
