I beleive the pumps are the same but calis had a pulse dampener I think to try and help queit the truck or some nonsense and yes I've heard that you have to pull the turbo because with that dampener on there you can't get to the 1 1/4" banjo nut
yeah its not too bad although I think 5mins is a load of b.s unless the motors sitting on the floor and you don't care how you rip stuff off. just take your time maybe the hardest part is the banjo nolt in the back and the most nerve racking part is getting the old pump off with out dropping the...
another member just had problems close to this truck dropped off then died although he could get his truck running again it was barely running but his threw a cel so he put a scanner on it and the ICP sensor went bad.
I just left mine black the rest of the trim pieces are black anyhow but anyhow about ten years ago I had to replace the speaker grills in my mustang and I just used a paint from napa for plastics nothing else adn out side of a few scuff marks from peoples feet the paint still looks great the key...
yes they will start with just one bank even cold if the glow plugs on that side are working. If you are getting a lot of white smoke out the exhaust then you are getting fuel and its not the wire harness cause if its shorted out you wouldn't get any fuel. How cold is it maybe you should plug in...
do you have a cel on by any chance? I don't really think it is a valve cover harness cause these trucks will run with just one bank of injectors and it just seems to unlikely that both harness came unplugged at the same time
good deal it may be just happen chance that it went out right after you washed the motor but you may want to consider being more careful if your gonna wash it again. I thought it sure sounded like your truck was running out of oil to the injectors nice to get it narrowed down though before you...
is the orings for the IPR on the HPOP if so this may be your problem the symptoms sure sound like lack of oil preasure to the injectors and to low of preasure will set a cel
I don't think auto stores can read diesel codes if you know anybody close with and edge or super chip programmer they can read codes. I think you can buy just a cheap obd II reader even at walmart but I don't know if it will read diesels or how much they are. Hopefully someone will come along...
running out of fuel like if the fuel pump was going out shouldn't leave a cel hopefully you didn't get water in the IDM. I know some sensors you can unplug and the truck will run in default mode but I'm not sure which sensors will do that and which ones you absolutely need
some times the hpop has somefittings that can leak and your truck sounded like it was running out of oil I'm sorry I don't really know how to help you with out a code scanner
