    Diagnostic Help Needed!

After several attempts at scanning I finally got a P132B. Looks like it's time to tear into the turbo for cleanup?

    Diagnostic Help Needed!

Thank you for the response. Do our trucks have a safety "limp mode", when certain problems or codes occur? I don't get why I'm not showing a code. I'll check again in the morning.

    Diagnostic Help Needed!

Hi Guys, It's been a long while since I've posted; mainly because all has been running well. Today coming home from work, towing trailer w/ about 5 or 6k# payload, I needed to slow up quickly so I wouldn't ram the car ahead of me. While hard braking I also dropped the shift lever into 2nd and...

    Fuel Pressure/Blue Spring

No worries, thanks for the reply. I decided to go with the premium rebuild w/ 2yr. warranty. I figured as long as I had everything apart...... also I installed a new large case 160 amp. alt. while I was at it. My OEM was getting a little tired, and is possible that it may have created the...

    Fuel Pressure/Blue Spring

Well, I didn't hear back from 4X4grey88, so I went w/ FICMRepair.com. They repaired and got it back to me right away, answered all my questions, etc. Top notch, very reputable service. As an earlier post mentioned; it now starts and runs like it use to. ;tu

    Bleeding the Brake Lines

Thanks for your effort Dave, I appreciate that. My manual is 1999-2006 that talks about the scantool. But...... I went and bled a third time and all is good (three's a charm). I essentially flushed the whole system (not a bad thing). Just missed a little air that was in the middle somewhere...

    Bleeding the Brake Lines

No harm taken Dave. Normally we don't have to worry about this scantool required for bleeding unless changing out the HCU or MC or repairing any lines in between these. But apparently it can happen that air gets trapped and the scantool is necessary. Would you mind checking the bleeding...

    Bleeding the Brake Lines

Thanks Dave for reply. Yes, I do know how to bleed brakes; r.r.-l.r.-r.f.-l.f., in that order. And I do have repair manuals. It is where I read about the need for bleeding w/ a scantool by dealer or shop w/ proper equipment if air gets trapped in the hydraulic control unit. I don't make this...

    Bleeding the Brake Lines

Just finished replacing new pads all around, and new rear rotors and rebuilt calipers. I've bled twice, but still have a little sponginess going on. Never had this problem before. Do I need to bleed a third time, and flush out any trapped air, or what the heck? How many times do you guys open...

    Wasn't Thinking!!

Thanks for all the input. I ended up using my old original gas cap(I bought a locking one)and drilled it out and attached my valved pneumatic air blower and sealed up the cap perimeter venting with duct tape. This made it real easy to screw in and get a good seal. I tried with a rag but was just...
