Question 1997 Fuel leak Coming from under fuel filter
If it coming from the bottom, it sounds as if you have corroded a hole through the bowl. Pull the filter, stand pipe and heater out. Clean out the bottom and look for corrosion that will appear as craters in the bottom. I have seen some as large as a quarter and the bowl becomes thinner...- guzzle

I have heard that some of the 99's have UVC wiring that may be slightly mis-routed and will rub on the lifters, eventually shorting out and throwing an IDM code. Just someting to look into if it continues to give you problems.- guzzle

Somewhere around 23-25 psi, the MAP sensor will have the PCM set a P1249 overboost code. The PCM will then sense the need for a defuel condition which calls for actuating the wastegate. None of this will cause damage to the heads but most believe that boosts of 30+ psi will cause premature wear...- guzzle

overdrive shut off not working

I assume you are running the green coolant. You can get test strip kits from Napa, CarQuest and I think Auto Zone. Some have color charts on the bottle but if it comes with a separate comparison chart, pick up one of those too. Get some SCA treatment from Ford, test and add treatment. Run it for...- guzzle

oil dip stick leaking at oil pan
Been lurking here for a little while. Seems like a pretty nice place... I had a little bit of seepage and with a pair of channel lock pliers, was able to tighten the nut about 1/2 turn.
