    Forget that shop! I did the same as bushpilot and wiped mine down with brake cleaner, so far- it hasn't produced anymore drips. I'm learning to be patient with this truck because each time I've found something that I thought was a serious problem, it turned out to be "normal"

    It’s an 06 with about 10,000 miles now. I just noticed it so its possible that is been down there since new. I’ll clean it up and see if it continues. If so, I’ll definitely be visiting the dealer to keep things documented on it. Many thanks for the replies!

    thanks for the reply bushpilot, yeah, i'm not worried about the intercooler boots since that's normal. the oil underneath the motor is more worrisome but sounds like a common problem. I’ll have it looked at next time I’m over at the dealer.

    No I don't know how it all works, that's why I'm here- to try and learn some things. Do the 6.0's have a CCV like the 7.3's? Is there some mod or filter you can put on there to keep the oily residue from building up in the intercooler? Thanks for your expertise
