    So since it is an oil seal on the output shaft of the transmission, does than mean I have a bushing or bearing on the output shaft going out causing the seal to go bad? Not really looking forward to this job, there must be 800 lbs of dried mud up under the truck, not to mention chemical...

    Sounds like ford figured out a way to get customers to the dealer more often. Anyone put in a coolant filter yet? Then everytime you change the filter you get 4 more units of time release additive. Maybe doesn't work with the new coolant?

    EGR delete, HERE WE Go Again

    Been there! My turbo was a royal bitch to get in and all the exhaust connections sealed. Always did have a little leak where the egr cooler meets the exhaust pipe, no matter what I did. I just coudn't get it to stay tight together. It doesn't take much of a leak to lose 5psi boost.

    A bad ground might cause that as well, but I think I am with dave on this one.

    Might want to check out the headlight relays before you tear into the multifunction switch on the column. If one of them had a weak coil a small drop in voltage when toggling the switch might cause it to act up.

    It could also be a couple other things such as Injector Pressure Regulator(IPR), Injector Control Pressure (ICP) sensor, or a leaking fitting on the HPOP like powerboater said. These are all common problems, for a while Ford was replacing all 3 of these as standard procedure for warranty...

    For now just keep an eye on it. If it gets to the point where it leaks down enough to cause extended cranking over a much shorter period of time, say the time it takes to put on fuel, prepare to be sitiing along the road somewhere in the next couple hundred miles. :) trust me I know...
