Thanks for the happy birthday wishes. I do look in on occasion to see what folks are up to.
Mrs TG and my dad took me out to Red Lobster for a big lunch before I had to go to work. Once at work, I sure wanted to turn around and go home for a nap. It was rough the first couple of hours LOL.
I gave away my baby girl about 2 weeks ago.
(Sorry about the pic laying on its side. It happened during the file upload and I haven't yet figured out how to fix it.)
And had a deer run in front of me the very next day.:rant
Body shop bill was about $2000.
p.s. and my new son-in-law...
We landed a B-52 at Billings, Montana in 1990. My pilot's parents live in Laurel near Billings. So it was sort of a 'hometown lad does good' thing.
Landing there was on purpose for an airshow they were having.
It was a tight squeeze. We had to transfer fuel to get the tip gear wheels up off...
The left rear spring leafs were breaking on my old 99 F-250. I towed a lot and had an exhaust brake. The riser blocks were the factory ones. I went to a local spring shop and they gave me the option of factory style IIRC 5 leaf springs or a heavier duty 7 leaf type. Since I towed about 80% of...
We're under a winter storm warning for the next 3 nights straight.
They're saying maybe a foot of the real wet heavy stuff which I really hate.
Did I mention that I think Al Gore is a moron?
Thanks everyone. There are more drawers obviously in the toolbox. But I didn't have pics of the others. I suppose I should get some if not for any other reason, the insurance company.
I imagine at some time in the future, a certain young man is going to think I am the coolest grandpa on...
I don't post as much as I used to here, even though I still check in from time to time.
Things have been going alright for me and Mrs TG lately. Job's going good, just got a raise on my 2nd anniversary.
Last November, my dad's fiance passed. They were together for about 20 years. That let a...
Back when I had to replace the ball joints on my 99, I too got estimates from local shops. The labor was in the low to mid hundreds of $$$$ range. Labor alone was more than parts.
After thinking about it, I said screw that and bought a simple 12 ton press from Harbor Freight and did the job...
Did you check your brake caliper slide pins? Back in the day when I still had my F-250, I had a dragging rear brake and pulled both the rear brakes off for inspection. It turned out that on the dragging brake, the slide pins on the calipers were seized. I tried to get them loose, but no luck...
About 3 years ago when I still had my early 99, I replaced the failing OEM GPR with the Stancor relay. It made a HUGE difference in how well the truck started on a cold morning. I'm sure you'll be very glad you made that move too.
I've seen that pic before, still haven't quite figured out what post WWII bomber had that tail gun turret that got photo-shopped to the beer truck. B-29 maybe??:dunno
By union contract at work, I'm still entitled to two more vacation days for the the year. I told the Mayans they couldn't end the world before I burned those last two vacation days. :)
BTW: Merry Christmas everybody!!
Hook a scanner or something capable of doing an injector contribution test. Run the test, it'll turn off each injector one at a time. If the noise goes away momentarily, you've confirmed a bad injector as well as which one it is.
