    the noise you are describing sounds like the exhaust backpressure valve (EBV) closing. it is nothing more than a butterfly vavle in the exhaust that closes to help warm the engine. now i dont know if those are still used with the banks brake?? And that usually only opens in coleder temps...

    the lift that i refer to in my sig is only the extra couple springs, it only gave me at the most 2" in tghe rear and MAYBE an 1.5" in the front, stock size tires also. i do not like or approve of extra blocks for lifts. I've seen other trucks have ones break as well, actuall my friends 2004 6.0...

    Any body else have trouble with leaf springs breaking in the rear leaf pack. i noticed b/c i was doing brakes on the rear. had one break shortly after i got the truck, fixed that and added a couple more. now i have at least 2 more broke on drivers side, and havent even got to the passenger side...

    another thing to look at its when was the last time the oil was changed? these engines dont like thick gummy oil, they need nice clean oil to operate the injectors properly, just something to think about

    Got some and tried it friday nite, i suppose if you had oil that needed cleaned off it would work great, but i couldn't tell it doing much good. did the cleaning and installed a new air filter and still the BEST i could get was 15.8 mpg highway

    its just a liitle less than 500 +/- at an idle. it only does it intermittantly, so its hard to have the auto enginuaity hooked up all the time. could the IPR be stickin? or not functioning correctly? thanks
