WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

Well first thing you need to do is see if your truck has the 1-7/8 block or the 3.5 block. If you have the 3.5 block you could get away with either just the block or just the spring, thats really up to you. However if you do this, you will probably have to have some new ubolts, as stock would be...

WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

I cant say anything but good things about the kit. Ive had some bad luck with lift kits in the past, and also read alot of horror stories on here and FTE. Like I posted above, the ONLY issues I had were the bolts not long enough for the driveshaft drop bracket. $5 and a trip to Lowes to get some...

WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

Its deff. rougher then the stock ride. But not too awful bad, but hey who buys a solid axle truck for ride quality? LOL Its smoother then the 03 F-350 that I test drove before I bought my 06. If that means anything. Scott

WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

Well she is done and I drove it a short bit. Drives amazingly well considering I havent aligned it yet. Gonna align it first thing tomorrow. Everything went really well. Only problem that I ran into was the bolts for the driveshaft carrier bearing spacer werent long enough, but thats not a big...

WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

Im literally in the process of putting the kit on now. Tires came in this morning and I got them mounted on the wheels. So far Ive got all the four link stuff installed, springs in, and a few other misc items done. Waiting on a buddy to bring me a 1-7/8 socket for the pitman arm so I can get it...

Can I flip my rear shackle/spring hangers?

Yupp I sure will. Im doing this in hopes of not having to "stack" my rear blocks for my lift kit. Im hoping I can do this, and add the add-a-leaf and have my 6'' of lift. Scott

Can I flip my rear shackle/spring hangers?

    Adding clearance lights?

I know many of you have done it, just looking for some input. Is there a company that sells a complete kit with all the lights and mountng hardware? Also, does anyone make a "template" to help position them on the cab in the right place? Im not totally dcided that I want to put them on, but just...

Can I flip my rear shackle/spring hangers?

No, I mean the rear hanger on the rear sprng. Grind off the rivets and literally flip it upside down and reattach to the frame. Its known as a "shackle reversal" I know it will work I as ive done it many times on half ton trucks but I was wanting some input as to weather or not I should do it...

Can I flip my rear shackle/spring hangers?

As the title says, have any of you guys done a shackle/spring hanger reversal on your SD trucks? Ive done it on MANY older fords (73-96 style) to gain about 2-3'' or lift. I am at work and havent studied my SD closely but I dont see why I cant do it? Anyone have any ideas on why I shouldnt do...

WOOT! Lift, wheels and tires on the way!

Well ive been toying with the idea of a lift kit and wheels and tires. Beem doing alot of research on lifts as far as brands, height, tire size, wheels etc. I was wanting to go with a 8'' kit and 38's but as alot of you probably know there is a BIG price jump from a 6'' to an 8'' along with a...

    trailer wiring/controller

I need to install a trailer brake controller on my 06. Can I get a factory controller that mounts in the dash? I just have a storage compartment there now, but I pulled it out and there is 2 connectors there, I am assuming they are there for the controller? If so what else do i need to do to...
