    CPS Failure? or not?

Does the "Water in fuel" light come on at startup? I've never seen it lit, wondering if it's burned out or something else...I drained the fuel bowl this morning before leaving for work. Also, could it be possible that the ignition switch is to blame for this?

Well, I'm back...and we got a new toy!

Don't know if anyone noticed, but I was not online the last week, had to make an emergency drive to South Dakota. My father in law passed away before we got there. Real bummer, he was a great guy. :( Anyhow, we were at dinner with my mother-in-law, and she out of the blue asks us if we...

    CPS Failure? or not?

So, of course, as we all know, the surest-fire way to get your vehicle running is to call your wife, wait 30 minutes for her to show up, and re-attempt to start the truck - the Wait to start light came on, and she fired up. (Wife took it well, thank goodness :thanks ) So I took it to the...

    CPS Failure? or not?

New (?) Problem? Well, since that time, she has started acting up again, especially on warmer afternoons or when engine is warm. Seems to start after about 10 minutes. I'm not sure, since I have a brand-new CPS, that that is the problem... here are a couple of observations: if I...

Daryl, you know there is no humidity here  ! (Actually, it's not that bad...it's when the heat lasts for more than 2 days that we all wilt:D .

    Wow, it's actually hot!

It was 94 in D'town Seattle this afternoon  . We'll see how long before the population wilts :D . And now I gotta go sit in the school gymnasium for my boy's choir concert-popcorn , I hope it's not gonna be as hot as I remember those gyms being from when I was a boy.

What do you wish someone made?

Got two more, both involving windows: auto-down for all windows, and enable a presetting of all window opening depth that could be acheived by pressing one button (I'm odd, in that if I have the windows down, I want them to all be down to the same depth  ) I know, I'm a freak :drive...

What do you wish someone made?

Good point, especially if you set the cruise at a lower speed and are going up a small rise...the engine roars like you're climbing Mt. Everest!

What do you wish someone made?

:roflmao Scott, I guess I shouldn't b*tch about this functionality, since I never get to use cruise in Seattle traffic anyway :cussing: !!

What do you wish someone made?

Another mod: I would like the cruise control to always be "on", without having to turn it on before setting the speed. Daryl and I discussed this previously on the other site, but it went nowhere. My wife's car (Honda) has simply a 'set' and a 'cancel' button. There's really no need to have the...

    Holes in bedrails

So, I should reuse or replace the oem bed rails caps...does anyone know if they can be replaced with black as opposed to gray? thanks!

    Holes in bedrails

Was surprised, after removing the (factory?) plastic bedrails to see ~20 holes in each rail. I'm gonna have a spray-in bedliner installed, what do most people do with the rails? Put the factory caps back on? :dunno

    Solenoid valves

Here's what I am looking for, perhaps someone out there can point me in the right direction (and please don't suggest Mcmaster-Carr or Grainger :o ): 12V operation 3-way solenoid valve/coil/manifold aluminum or steel housing biodiesel-safe seals (viton, etc.) 1/2" or 5/8" female NPT...

Hard work pays off! Tooting my horn for a minute.

Didn't post my 'triumph' over there...are you referring to JIMC's post? Anyways, :thanks

Hard work pays off! Tooting my horn for a minute.

Neither do I  , hope I never have to go to court for this :o . Just kidding. Simply put, it's the addition of a class of chemicals to a culture broth for the increased expression of recombinant proteins. yeah, I admit it, I'm a science geek :D

Hard work pays off! Tooting my horn for a minute.

My boss and I were just awarded a patent: 6,890,736 search at this link What a hard process, especially in this field. Took about 5 years since I completed the work, to receive this. :D

    O/D switch took a sh*^

Clayton, you can't catch a break! Sorry to hear this. I often wonder if this problem is caused by driving with the right hand on the gear selector (like I often do), or from other more subtle things ??
