    What is everyone's experience with Luk or South Bend Clutches. Is one better for towing where the other is better for high performance? Looks like we are going to need one soon. Not for truck in sig. Before someone chimes in.

    It's just me but why would you want to waste a position on a stock setting? Almost everyone I talk to never use it again.

    I think it depends on what speed you are driving with the cruise on. I have found that my truck down shifts going up hills 3 or 4 times more often at 55 mph than it does at 65 mph. In that situation it is more efficent at 65 than it is at 55.

    It's been a loooong time since I have had any truck trouble away from home, today was different. I was about 125 miles from home on an Interstate and running about the speed limit and lost power steering. I knew I had lost a belt and with out steering or brakes finally easied it off the road...

    That is what I just got. Yesterday that same page would come up and send me directly to Oilburners site. At Oilburners site I could go down to Suderduty site and click on it and get in. Totally different today.:dunno

    I am doing some work on my son's 2000 F350 rear end and for kicks stopped by stealership to price their rear end oil for his truck. $25.00 per quart, that's $100.00 for a gallon. Rear end takes 8 1/2 pints. I did have one unexpected surprise, had to buy a VSS and expected to pay 25-30 dollars...

    :thanks That will have to wait until morning. I am needing to replace one on my 95 and I have found one that is for a 96 or 97 with no part no. on it so I don't know if it will fit until I can find out if they are the same. They probably are but who knows the way they replace things!

    Thanks, I had forgotten about that parts list. Now I need to know where to find engine serial no. I did find one of those part no. on one parts supplier but it did not say what years it covered. Neither part no. showed up one Powerstroke.com.

    Boy what a bargain! Went to fuel up this morning, fuel at 2.999, six other station I passed still from 3.09 to 3.20. Even WalMart was at 3.199. Maybe on is way down. RUG cheapest was 2.459.

    Diesel $1.10 more then RUG

    When Wally World went over $3.00 a gallon here they just took thier sign completely down. You have to drive up to the pump just to see how overpriced it is. RUG today $2.519 Diesel $3.199.
