    I thought about not having a flat spot too Roy, but I couldn't find anything readily available to make that work. There is no noise when the "lunge" occurs. The diesel tech suggested tranny mounts when he road down the road with me the other day.

    Since I first read this thread, the squirrels have been working overtime in my head on how you could do it. I think the trick will be to make it look like it has always been that way. I wouldn't want a big hump in the floor and people asking, "what's that hump in the floor?"

    To tell you the truth, I feel a lot safer with the car hauling ramps than I do with a couple of jack stands. Those scare me, don't like 'em. As for the drive line, When I push the go go pedal I get a double jerk, kinda like a lunge and when I let off the pedal, it lunges back so to speak...

    I have seen some billet aluminum complete door handle replacements, but I still don't think that would completely solve your problem. A thief could still get in around the top part of the door handle with a screwdriver. You need some protection from inside the door handle, like a Jimmi Jammer

    I use Ford Motorcraft 15W/40 Diesel Motor Oil. 5 qrt. jug at Wal-Mart for 11.50 + tax.

    I guess they are helping. It maybe just money throwed away, but it makes you feel like you are doing good things for your truck. If they help keep things lubed up better, then it is worth it.

    This last oil change, I did use a quart of Lucas Synthetic oil stabilizer. For a fuel additive, I have been using Alterra Diesel Maxx Bio Additive.

    I generally put my seat belt on as I am pulling out of the drive way. When I start to pull it down, it catches and then I pull again, it catches and will not come all the way down. I either have to put it on stopped, or wait until I am doing about 15mph before it will come down freely...
