    It wasn't the hex that was stripped. It was the threads on the HFCM. So I replaced it and everything is good. New fuel filters helped. but I think the injectors are going. Thanks for all the feedback guys. And, yes 350. you are right about the "Money funnel"

    So what do you do when the water separator drain plug is stripped. The dealer stripped it last year and now it's stripped again. Maybe they didn't fix it like they said. This is why from here on out I'm doing my own maintenance. Any thoughts from the pros?

    Nah it's still cold up here, and no change in mileage. I did talk to the diesel tech and he said it's probably bad injectors. Any thoughts out there? You guys are the pros, I've learned more here just surfin' around than from any dealer tech. Thanks guys.

    My engine seemed to have gotten louder over the last couple weeks. I use to hear the turbo over the engine now it seems to have switched. Just more of a diesel knock that usual. I took it to the dealer and the mechanic said it seemed fine. No loss of power just wondering what you guys thought.

    Thanks for the info bushpilot. The truck is still under warrenty so I guess I will talk to the shop tomorrow. It's been over a week and I'm getting sick of the 150 they loaned me.

    So the dealer that is doing the job says that they don't have to lift the cab. From everything I have read here and other sites I thought that was just part of it. Is it possible not to lift the cab?

    Good stuff, I got one two weeks ago and it fits perfect. Ordered it on a tuesday showed up on thursday and it took 5 minutes to take the old one off and put the new one on.

    Need Original Super Duty 6.0 Air intake system

    I have the whole thing in a box, let me know if you want it. Thats a bummer that the dealership said no aftermarket. My truck is in for the old head gasket issue and i have an exhaust and intake, no problem.

    Went in for brakes found a blown head gasket

    Courtesy ford in portland, they have always treated me well. They replaced the turbo about 8 months ago and did a good job. Nice guys and they gave me a loaner for the week even though i'm over 36,000. So I hope the problem gets fixed and I'm not in there for the same thing down the road.
