How much does it cost to get a CDL? (not counting the fly-by-night places)
A good 6 to 10 week course $1300 - $2500 And that includes the truck to take the test. Anybody that offers those 1 week classes stay away.

no way this will EVERY happen, when you consider a PRIVATE RV owner...
no way theyll EVER pay 1300-2500 for the course...and when you consider
the potential LOSS of state sales tax <if folks CANT buy these RV's> you
can BET your state politicals will do everything they can to make this
EASIER for folks to buy.

IMO any vehicle with air brakes, I don't care what it is commercial, recreational, or who knows, should be required to be operated by a CDL driver. I know there are idiot CDL drivers out there, but there are far more idiots behind the wheel of passenger vehicles, and when you give them the keys to a motor coach, bad things happen. The average driver has no clue about air brakes and how they work and for that reason they should not be driving a large vehicle with out a CDL.
Do you have to be so NEGATIVE. Think about it this way most insurance companys will give you a discount for taking the course. It wont cover the full cost but it helps. Buy the way why would you NOT want somebody in a 40,000lb rocket on the highway to NOT be trained on how to use it. Would you want one of them parked on top of your family car with them in it or are there lives NOT worth the extra expence.
Do you have to be so NEGATIVE.
