pcb is the "primary computer...something"....it performs MANY mysterious
functions...and it also is a way to REDUCE the number of wires required
to perform a task...the existing wires wind up being more like
"net work connections" these days.

its also why you can push combinations of wires and get the results that
some other button normally performs...as an example the HORN...
theres a combination (sorry i dont recall which ones) of CRUISE control
buttons that when they are pushed at the same time will cause the HORN
to "beep"...

opps maybe i called it the wrong "thing"...maybe its called/termed the PCM (primary control module or performance control module)...someone help me...

but do you think its programable to do the one touch down event, it might as simple as keying in the correct button sequence like the auto lock stuff maybe :dunno

one note, the auto down/up switches are 2 position switches. One click (1/2 press) stops when released but pressing past the first click activates the auto down/up. You would still have to get another switch even if you can reprog the board.

personally i think if it were programable someone would have done it by now !
theres lots of folks WAY smarter than me...and this "truck" has been
in production for 9yrs now...

perhaps we should contact the folks that do ONE-TOUCH DOWN-s
for OTHER fords...hell for 39 bucks id buy it from 'em !

on EDIT...ive contacted 'em to see if the onetouch up/down can be applied to
our trucks...

i have to run out and look i think my switch is double clicker thingy to :D

yep driver window is two clicks whilst the rest are one clickers DARN

I havent heard back from 'em...YET but then again i sent
the email only 5min ago.

ive discovered that ford added the onetouch UP to
the new ford 500...
