ok, looking at the lincoln part got me thinking. could a person go to a junk yard and get the drivers door switch or multiple switches and put them on (in). or would the module not work or be confused?

you see red 6.0, this is the very idea i had that started this thread. commen sense was telling me that it would work, just take the old window modules, switches, i think yall know what i mean, and replace them with the same modules, switches that the driver's side uses.

the OTD "MODULE" really is nothing more than a glorified relay/circuit
breaker...it cant be much more than that...and having SEEN the ford
ones on ebay pretty much confirms it.

it has FOUR or 5 wires coming from it & splices into the window
motor wires... in "normal mode" the relay / breaker is a
closed circuit (allowing power to flow normally)...

when the window reaches its travel limit (bottoms out) in
this senario the breaker/relay sense the increased load and
POPS the circuit open (cutting power to the window) and then
resets
