The term for the part your looking for is G.E.M. General Electric module. It controls everything in the Cab. :burnit Nothing to do with the G.E we all know.

i ask my dealer last week, and mentioned the G.E.M. and said it was one complete unit and that you could not do such a setup thru ford.

Steven ill agree w/ you...it maybe done in the GEM but you should be
able to add a OTD relay and have it work...its how the aftermarket
alarms do it <w/ relays>.

i have been looking into it up here to the north. ford says not possible. aftermarket say possible w/ using another module $150 + another part (i stopped the guy once he said 150). it is also possible to do it w/ a remote alarm switch (like remote start) but you still need the $150 module. the aftermarket installer said the factory module is called 'bcm' body control module.:dunno he pulled up in the know-it-all computer to show me that for my '03 it has 2 wires per switch which run to the module. at ford the guy thought i wanted to buy the whole 4 switch + window lock piece. so he goes i back to get it (i thought i had struck gold and he had the parts in stock to make this work) anyway comes back w/ the above mentioned and i was able to see the underside. it had a square wire harness (male end type) with 6 prongs and then another one w/ 5 prongs. which he then said it was two wire bundles running off to the control module.

at this point i am not sure about anything, factory or aftermarket wise. i do believe that both ways would work, if only someone at that knows what there doing at ford would just step up and say, yeah, its very easy, heres how we can do it.

im workin' on that part...ill get the relay (from what ever model/year)
and try it on one of my windows...ill give updates along the way.

there is NO DOUBT a OTD relay...and it CAN be done...the guy @
WEB ELECTRIC & i talked about his offerings...and HE told he's using
the FORD OTD relay...hes just charging for the directions and work hes
done to make 'em work...he says it has been applied to the 99-current
superduty trucks.

i havent bought from WEBELECTRICS because 29 bucks per window
per direction (thats SEVEN relays) is a lot of money...ive discovered the
OTD from ford is only 6bucks.

bama-
and i would agree. someone at ford needs to 'step up' and spill the beans. why then do they just do it for one window and not the others and on foreign vehicles. ooohhh, it got it, fomoco is just a little behind the times...:dunno
