My uncle has an 05 SRW Ram 3500 4X4 with clod air intake, and dual turbo back 4" MBRP exhaust with no cat and 35" tires. At 55, which is the speed his truck get the best MPG at, he get about 20-22 on the highway.

hell at that speed, assuming i would still be alive, i get 21mpg too.

Thanks, Dave. I don't have the overhead console on my truck, so my MPG is always figured by hand. A guy I work with claims 20 Mpg,but I know he's using the console read out. Although I notice atk is claiming 23 MPG @ 55 MPH. I have to admit that I can't get my truck to go that slow though.

I've heard of some of the older 5.9's getting 25 mph on the highway. I'm sure the 250 PSD's would get a little better mileage if they had the 3.55 axle (as they did with the OBS) instead of the 3.73. But then the towing capability would be less.

Well, it looks like Ford "took my advice" and now are offering the 3.55 on some of the Super Duty models: PickupTruck.com - Job Three 2008 Super Dutys Get Fuel Economy Improvements

Too bad it isn't a limited slip axle.

Going to take a trip to Louisiana tomorrow to take my mom back home. We'll see how it does then. That will be a 700+ mile round trip with a few stops along the way, so I'll probably be doing good to get 19.5.

Oh well, the mpg was more like 18.5. Of course, I had to drive about 80 on the "Interstate 20 racetrack" which made it hard to use the cruise control.

That is very good mileage for that speed. We get 18.5 at 70 mph with the cruise control on.
