It must be drawing air somewhere, or a bad lift pump.

Going back over the posts, Being able to blow back thru the drain valve is probably just the air bleed. If it were open it would be draining.

If you have a low pressure electric fuel pump you could use it to push the diesel from your five gallon bucket thru the lift pump and test it.

What happened that made you change the injectors in the first place. Was the truck running fine before the injector replacement. Will the truck start and idle, then die engine is being worked?

Have you checked how much pressure your lift pump is putting out under idle and under load. Sounds like a weak lift pump unable to supply adequate fuel to the injectors. .........Have you replaced you fuel filter lately????:dunno

So the lift pump flow volumes are within spec. Maybe the new lift pump has a manufacturing defect? It is possible and sounds like the only thing that was done that could affect the amount of fuel being fed to the filter.

BTW... FPR = Fuel Preasure Regulator... another quick and easy test... open the drain cock on the Fuel bowl turn the key on.... should fill.... if so, good... then most likley injector letting preasure in.. (Copper Ring) if its not filling then the problem may be a bit easier to track...
