Jourdan, get the codes pulled again.
I've looked everywhere, and I can't find a definition for your P1201 & P1203
sure it wasn't P1261 & 63?

JL, im positive it was 1201 and 1203. I found them online here. 1201 is Injector Circuit Open/Shorted (Cylinder 1) and 1203 is the same for injector 3.

DTC Error codes for Ford Codes obd II 2 Specific Trouble Codes. ScanGauge II can help you diagnose and clear the Error Code. Car Tuning - fuel economy - save fuel by monitoring consumption

This sure sounds like a UVC harness issue to me. It just so weird that its not running like crap. A fluke maybe?

The only thing I can think of with the light coming on and off when the TC is unlocking/locking is that when you let off the go pedal when the TC is locked, it shuts the injectors off until the TC unlocks and then they come on again at idle.

What do you think?

Codes codes codes!!!

Took my truck back to someone i knew today that had the proper software.

Ran a KOEO, KOER, etc tests, injector buzz test, cylinder contribution test.

You can def hear that something is not right when you buzz the injectors.

I got the following codes:

P0541 - My AIH is removed...no biggie
P1316 - IDM Codes have been stored...yea we know
P0284
P0269
P1277

This just really points at UVC Harness, does it not? Number 7 injector sounded funny when we buzzed it...I'm thinking of replacing both UVC Harnesses...

Your thoughts?

P1277 is #7 injector open high-to-low
a UVC MAY be the problem, but be prepared for another injector.

P0284 is Cyl #8 contribution fault
P0269 is Cyl #3 contribution fault

so yeah.. I have the procedure for ohming out the harness.. not sure I have time to scan it in and post it this morning.. maybe this evening..

yea if you could post that procedure...that would be great.

I planned on doing that, but just havent found it on the net yet.

When there is a cylinder contribution fault, does that just mean that those cylinders are not "contributing" as much as they should? This couldnt mean that there is a mechanical problem (bad piston ring etc) could it?

This better not be another injector...this is the same side of the motor (I think) that the ford dealership worked on...

Well, I replaced both UVC Harness, becuase i know they fail at one point or another...

Driver side wasnt too bad, but the passenger side absolutely sucked!

And guess what...that $^&$%^&*@#% light is still on!:rant What's next? How can I tell if it is an injector issue? Im going tomorrow and getting the codes pulled again to see if it still fails the buzz test and contribution test. I am at wits end here!

Well a little update for you all that are still subscribed...

Did some searching and found out how to ohm out the injectors...all of them measured about 3.5 ohms. So...that tells me the injector solenoids are fine, which means my problem is outside of the valve cover...

Now the task is to test that wiring harness and IDM...

Anyone care to shed any light on how that is done?

Problem solved problem solved!!!!!!!

After wrecking eveyone's brain I could on this...I finally found the problem and the CEL is off.

It ended up being a bad solenoid on injector 7. I ordered one off ebay for $30, swapped them out tonight, fired it up and NO MORE LIGHT!:hail

Thanks!
